Meet Amanda!

The visionary behind Haute Hair Studio, Amanda knew at a very early age that she loved the beauty industry. She grew up in her grandmother’s home salon, often earning quarters by painting clients, nails, while their perms processed. She obtained her Bachelors Degrees in Political Science and Theology from Florida State University. Her long term plan had always been to attend law school, but a passion for the beauty industry had always bubbled under the surface of her aspirations. That subtle desire was ignited when she began working in a salon her senior year of college, and gave way to the vision that she could really loved working in the hair world.

After graduating, she moved back to Tampa to attend a Redken endorsed Cosmetology program and quickly earned her Cosmetology license. Almost immediately she was drawn into the world of hair extensions while simultaneously offering many other services including bridal styling, color, haircuts and texture services. However her passion always lied most deeply in creating transformations and solutions for her clients that wanted thicker, fuller hair.

In 2012 she opened her first solo salon, Haute Hair and finally had created a space where she could offer the delicate service of extensions in a more intimate environment, free from a large space where everyone could see such a sensitive service. It was then, that she truly became an extension expert, becoming certified in 5 different methods that she could offer to her guests.Being at the forefront of hair trends has always been important to Amanda, so in 2018 she flew out to California to attend, what she thought, was a new extension certification. What she didn’t expect, was to come back ignited to create a massive change in her business and begin to offer extensions exclusively to her guests. Almost immediately she halted doing all other services and began to focus her craft on this new method of extensions called Natural Beaded Rows. This method offered solutions to so many of the problems her guests had. More fulness, less contact points, nearly invisible, and non damaging. It was a true game changer for her business.

Over the next 2 years, Amanda outgrew her small location and in May 2020 the all new Haute Hair opened its doors and flourished during unexpected times. Haute Hair has now grown to several full-time NBR specialists, assistants, an operations team and has become a 9 chair salon that offers only luxury extension and color services. Amanda has continued to hone her expertise in hair extensions, while also adding mentor and educator to her title of salon owner. She takes great pride in training the next generation of artists through her Haute Hair Academy, where she trains extension specialists after they graduate from Cosmetology School. In addition to her salon owner life, she is married to her partner Geoff for over 12 years, a cheer and baseball mom on the weekends, and always has travel plans on the books.
